Restore VA Accountability Act of 2025

The Black Veterans Empowerment Council, Inc. supports the Restore VA Accountability Act of 2025. The Restore VA Accountability Act seeks to reinstate and enhance the VA's authority to swiftly discipline or remove employees who fail to serve veterans’ best interests. This legislation addresses critical gaps that have weakened the original VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of 2017 due to judicial rulings that stripped its effectiveness.

"Change at the VA is not optional—it's a necessity," said BVEC Inc. Chairman Shawn L. Deadwiler. "Too many veterans are being failed every day because of employee misconduct and inefficiency. This bill empowers VA leadership to act swiftly and decisively, fostering a department where every staff member is singularly focused on what truly matters: serving our veterans."
